How does this service differ from other online proofing solutions? Most similar services serve hundreds or thousands of customers and to conserve storage space, they offer smaller, lower resolution images. Our service is designed to handle a more select group of professional photographers who want a service to display larger, higher resolution images that give their clients the ability to see detail in eyes and to make a good overall evaluation. Also, ours is a service that offers more choices in image layout.
There is a one-time set up fee and a flat monthly charge. We will be happy to send pricing information to any qualifying professional photographer. We only serve photographers with a valid business license.
Security is of utmost importance to us. We have designed our system to disable right-click action and have taken other steps to discourage illegal downloads. However, as technology evolves there is no guarantee that your images will not be copied. For that reason, we highly recommend that you apply a watermark to all images. A password provided by the photographer must be entered before images will open.
No, our lab has been serving professional photographers for over 50 years. We have been heavily involved in digital imaging for over 15 years. We serve photographers all over the country.
How exactly does the process work?
How long are my images online? The images are posted for 60 days, or less if you desire. We will delete galleries after 60 days.
How long does it take to upload a gallery? That depends upon several factors. The number of images, the size at which you want them displayed, and the upload speed provided by your Internet service provider. Our connection to the Internet is via fiber optic cable and is very fast so that we can receive as fast as or faster than you can upload.
How much storage space will I have on your server? Your total space is, by default, 5 Gigabytes. This will be adequate for most photographers due to the limited posting time. If you need additional space, we will provide a quote.
Can I include a price list and take orders online? At this time, we do not offer online ordering. That may be an option for the future, but most photographers tell us that they only want clients to see images online. They prefer to discuss the aspects of size, price and order details in person or by phone. If you need online ordering, we will be happy to refer you to a company that we feel does a very good job.
